Having met at Berklee College of Music in Boston nearly ten years ago, Danish-born Gustavand California native Maddy have been each other’s core fixtures amidst a life of purposeful uprooting and relocation ever since. Writing together since 2015 and beginning Moon Panda two years later, in the interim the pair have moved from Massachusetts to London to Theremote Danish countryside and then to sunny San Diego

Having recently released lead single ‘Tangerine Light’ with its soft washes of vocal and hazy synthesis a perfect introduction. Originally titled ‘Mint Green’, the band soon realised that the colour needed to be far more warm and inviting. “That bright orange of the sunset is what I imagine when I think of California, and that’s kind of what I picture when I think about this album too”, she says.
